Convex, expanding with age, surface finely felty, smooth with age, lemon yellow to purple red when young, becoming pale clay buff to milky coffee, then pinkish, red or purple, usually with a mix of colours, bruising dark blue, to about 26 cm across

Club shaped, stout, yellow at the apex, orange to reddish below, decorated with a red to orange red network, bruising dark blue
